Isaiah and Olivia Mulcahy are the winners of the Summer Reading program Raffle. It was a surprise to everyone when the two names that we pulled out of the raffle were brother and sister, but that is how it happened. Shown here are Librarian Irene Murphy, Olivia and Isaiah, and Library Director Andrew Birden. Congratulations to Isaiah and Olivia! They each won a $50 gift certificate to Bogan Books in Fort Kent, along with a nice goody bag.
The poster in front of the winners has tiny multi-colored stickers representing each book the participants read across the whole summer. The stickers numbered in the hundreds by the end of the summer. The reading program coordinators were Pat Richard, Cheryl Pelletier, Rory Collings and Irene Murphy. Over 75 young people participated this year.
